Prep your AC before the heat comes full force!
It's already heating up and summer is almost here. Don't wait until it's too late to make sure your air conditioner is ready to keep you cool.
Here are a few tips to ensure your air conditioner is ready to go:

• Uncover your air conditioner
  This might seem obvious, but after a long cold winter, it might just slip your mind! you don't want to try running your air conditioner with the cover on.
  
  
• Check your filter
  If you can't see through your filter, it's time to get a new one. Depending on what type of air conditioner you have your filter can be located in a variety of places.
  
  
• Check the outdoor coil.
  During the long months since you've last used your AC, the coil can get full of grass, cottonwood, leaves...etc. You'll want to make sure it's free and clear of this debris before using your AC.
  
  
• Test it early!
  Don't wait until it's 85-90 degrees out before testing your air conditioner. When the temperature is above 70, turn it on and make sure it's working as expected. It's worth the time to not be suprised!
